The 5 Second Rule

The five second rule is one of the most scientific food safety tests anyone without a science degree can perform, but just when should you use it and when you should you throw in the towel by throwing your food away?

We’ve got this handy little infographic from our friends at NuLife Floorcare that will ask you a series of questions letting you know whether or not eat it or bin it! (Our gut says, no matter what, just clean it up and call it a day!)

  • 10-12 large mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach

  3. Put all ingredients except for mushroom in short cup and twist on cross blade.
  4. Pulse until there is a slight texture in consistency.
  5. Use a spoon to load in the stuffing from short cup into mushroom.
  6. Put in oven on a lightly greased baking sheet for 15-20 mins.

What happens when you put a bottle of wine and a joke together? Well, whatever happens, it’s pretty cute.

kris-humphries

Kris Humphries is no stranger to courtroom woes and now his ex-assistant is suing him, claiming that he not only failed to pay her the salary she was promised, but that his mother stole some of her things, including her prized Magic Bullet Blender.

We don’t know if her claims will hold up in court, but one thing is for sure: living without your Magic Bullet is cruel and unusual punishment and, no matter who you are, your right to own this personal, versatile countertop Magician should never be infringed upon.

Good luck to Humphries and his personal assistant – err, ex-personal assistant – Tracy Paradise.

The perfect s’more. It’s hard to come by. The ingredients have to be just right, the campfire has to be just right, even the people and ambiance have to be just right. And with summer just around the corner, we thought we’d give you a little help. So here’s the perfect group camping treat – broken down to a science.

Homemade Sriracha

If you haven’t heard of Sriracha, you’re missing out. A Thai hot sauce by origin, Sriracha can be found in almost any popular restaurant you go to. In soups, tacos, marinades, almost anything, this sauce is absolutely ridiculous. But if you haven’t had the amazing fortune of having tried it, well, that’s ok, Healthy Green Kitchen has got you covered.

Blogger Winnie Abramson’s version is spectacular, adapted from another recipe found in Steamy Kitchen’s Healthy Asian Favorites. It’s different in color and texture than the original, but we’ll forgive her for not having mastered the hot red Sriracha color – she more than made up for it in taste! And the best part? Her recipe is highly adaptable, making it perfect for those who like their spiciness off the charts and for those who like a milder kick. Find the recipe here and make it today.

Let us know, what do you put Sriracha on?
