Is this bringing you back to your childhood days, when peanut butter apples were the best after-school snack ever? I thought so. I’ve always loved them as a healthy snack (and still do), and was thrilled when I came up with the idea of a peanut butter and apple smoothie! The apples add just the right amount of sweetness to this smoothie, which is loaded with rich peanut butter flavor. Enjoy!

I discovered a delicious new smoothie recipe that I want to share with you guys! I call it the Carrot Cake Smoothie. Unlike most smoothies made with a lot of fruit, this smoothie contains little fruit and, therefore, less sugar! Its flavor comes from the cinnamon and nutmeg, which blend perfectly with the carrots, pecans, and milk. The banana adds some texture and a bit of natural sweetness. Don’t forget the raisins! Those are a must in any carrot cake recipe. 🙂
Carrot Cake Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup chopped carrots
- 1 Tbsp chopped pecans
- 1 tsp raisins
- 1/2 cup milk (or almond milk)
- 1/2 banana, frozen
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a Magic Bullet cup and blend.
- Top with shredded carrots, raisins and chopped pecans for garnish.

The other day, something terrible happened… I caught a cold! I thought people only got sick during the winter season, and it was still summer! Being sick is the worst thing in the world, especially if you have work or other important things to do. It completely stops you in your tracks, and you get behind on everything for days. Hoping it wasn’t too late, I made myself this immunity booster smoothie full of vitamin C and cold-fighting nutrients. Did you know kiwis, spinach, raspberries and strawberries have a high vitamin C content?
My cold went away pretty fast and I’m giving credit to this immunity booster smoothie! Next time you think you may be coming down with something, make yourself one of these vitamin C-packed drinks!

Hands down, this is one of my favorite smoothie recipes ever. This smoothie tastes just like a banana split, but it is so much healthier. I have a huge sweet tooth, so when I am dieting or just trying to eat healthier, finding alternative desserts is challenging.
This is one of my favorite dessert treats because it tastes like a banana split milkshake, but doesn’t use the unhealthy ice cream. Adding peanuts give it a slightly crunchy consistency, which I love! Just don’t go too crazy on the whipped cream and fudge toppings, which can be hard to resist. Don’t forget to add a few sprinkles and a fresh cherry on top for a finished look!
Banana Split Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 banana
- 1 Tbsp chocolate syrup (+ more for topping)
- 1 Tbsp peanuts (+more for topping)
- 3 ice cubes
- Whipped cream
- Sprinkles
- 1 cherry
Instructions
- Add all ingredients except toppings to a Magic Bullet cup and blend until smooth.
- Top with whipped cream, chopped peanuts, chocolate syrup, sprinkles and a cherry.

Whenever apricots show up in my local grocery store, I get so excited that I buy more than I can eat in a few days. Then, things start to get creative around here. Apricot salsa? Apricot panini? Apricot jam? What else can you do with apricots? One easy and delicious way to use apricots is in smoothies, of course! Smoothies are especially useful for those last few apricots in the fruit basket that I like to call the stragglers – you know, the ones that are almost too mushy to eat. This strawberry apricot smoothie is the perfect way to get your daily dose of vitamin C. Both strawberries and apricots offer a good amount of vitamin C and apricots also offer a large amount of vitamin A.
Strawberry Apricot Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 2 apricots, halved and pitted
- 1 banana
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup water
Ingredients
- Add all ingredients to a Magic Bullet cup and blend well.

Last week, I brought home a whole bag of peaches to enjoy. One of my favorite things to make with peaches is this peach smoothie. It is made with a splash of orange juice, a banana, a peach, plain yogurt, and a squirt of honey. I like to freeze the banana (peeled and chopped to make things easier) at least 30 minutes before to make my smoothie nice and cold. Do you have any favorite peach recipes?
Bananas Over Peaches Smoothie

- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1 peach
- 1 banana, frozen
- 1/2 tsp honey
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a Magic Bullet cup and blend for 20 seconds.

Agua fresca (meaning “fresh water”) is a popular beverage in Mexico and is usually sold here by food trucks. I can’t resist buying one whenever I’m grabbing some food on a hot day. They are simply made with fresh fruit and water, so they are easy to make at home. You can strain the solids out to achieve a smoother texture, but I love the slushiness of a watermelon agua fresca! If you can, try to buy seedless watermelon, or it will be a little bit of a challenge to dig out all of those little black seeds. The lime gives this drink a refreshing taste. You won’t be disappointed with this popular summertime drink!
Watermelon Agua Fresca
Ingredients
- 2 cups cubed seeded watermelon
- 1 cup water
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Add the watermelon, water, sugar and lime juice to a Magic Bullet cup and blend.
- Served chilled with a wedge of lime.

Mango lassi is my favorite drink to order whenever I go out to eat at an Indian restaurant!
This delicious drink is especially refreshing during the summer months! It is made with a few simple ingredients: mango, plain yogurt, honey and a dash of cardamom (you can also use allspice). It tastes just like a creamy mango smoothie! You can use store-bought frozen mango, or cut a mango into cubes and freeze for 30 minutes before making your mango lassi. Freezing your mango is a must, because this drink just isn’t the same when it is warm.
Indian Mango Lassi
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen mango cubes
- ½ cup plain yogurt
- 2 Tbsp milk
- ½ tsp honey
- Pinch of cardamom (can substitute allspice)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a Magic Bullet cup and blend well.
